It can be very different cthanksgiving2elebrating Thanksgiving in a foreign country when it is just another day.  However, thanks to Brother Michael from New Mexico, the Guatemalan staff of Salud y Paz got to share in the celebration of this very American holiday.

Brother Michael who lives at a monestary in New Mexico, was visiting here in Guatemala and offered to make the entire staff a Thanksgiving Day meal.  He made a fantastic meal which included a 25 pound turkey!  Most Guatemalan’s have never seen a turkey that big before.  Plus, there were mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, dressing, pumpkin pie and pecan pie.

It was a great time to share in God’s goodness together as well all gave thanks to God for the many blessings we have been given.  Thanks Brother Michael!
