Children raise funds for water filters

Share

Many families in San Andrés will soon have clean and safe water to drink thanks to the children of Castleton United Methodist Church.  During their recent vacation Bible school which had a water theme, the children collected $1576.00 for water filters for families.

Rodney Frieden, one of the pastors at Castleton, said, “We were amazed at the amount of money the children brought in during one week of Vacation Bible School.  What a fantastic job they did!”

Mission Guatemala will use the money to purchase water filters for families through Helps International.  The water filters are manufactured in Guatemala and are extremely effective.

Do all the good you can!  That is the goal for Misson Guatemala in San Andrés.  We believe all families deserve to have safe drinking water.  So, one of our goals will be to make sure each family has a water filter.
