Rain and Mudslides Cause Devastation

Rain continues to fall causing all kinds of devastation throughout Guatemala.  In this picture, the hillside above the public market in Panajachel collapsed into a mudslide.  Fortunately, no one was hurt.  You can click on the picture for a larger image.

The rain has also caused roads to close and made transportation difficult.  Many areas of the country have not been able to obtain food and some banks are rationing money because they are unable to receive deliveries of cash.
