Mission Trip Resources

We want to make planning your trip to Mission Guatemala very easy!  Below are some resources that you can download to help plan and prepare for your trip.

  • To make planning your trip easier, we have put together our Guatemala Mission Trip Planning Guide. It contains important information and answers to many of your questions. If you have additional questions or need information clarified, please don’t hesitate to contact us. From time to time, we may need to make some changes in this guide, so please be aware that it is possible for information to change.

  • If you desire, we also have a Bible study that you can use in preparing for your Guatemala mission trip and reflection following your Guatemala mission trip. Preparing For The Journey can be downloaded and adapted as needed.

  • Here is a packing list that contains most of the things team members will need. It is not exhaustive but if a team member brings all these items they will have a good and comfortable week!

  • Guatemala has a two part form that is used for immigration (entering into the country) and customs clearance. This download is a sample completed form for your team members. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions.

  • We have devotion books that can be used for team devotions while you're in Guatemala. This devotion guide was written by pastors from the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church. The booklets also contain helpful history, maps, and Spanish phrases.

Basecamp

Once your team is on our schedule, you will communicate with our staff through Basecamp.  Basecamp is a web-based project management tool that allows key staff people in our organization to know what is going on with your trip.  Here is a short video that will give you an overview of how Basecamp works.
