Our Week With Newburgh UMC

Mission Guatemala was thankful to share a week with a team from Newburgh United Methodist Church in Newburgh, Indiana! Newburgh UMC has long supported Mission Guatemala, and over the past several years has specifically focused on raising the funds for the medicines needed for Mission Guatemala's clinic pharmacy!

During their week with us, the group continued the construction of our bathroom project at the elementary school in the community of Caliaj Tecpan. When completed, the expanded bathroom facility will serve over 160 students, who previously only had use of 3 pit latrines, which were nearly unusable, and 3 flush toilets.

We are thankful to Newburgh UMC, both for their team's work with us during this week, as well as for their continued friendship and long-term support of Mission Guatemala!
