Our Weeks With Construction Fall Construction Teams

Construction on Mission Guatemala’s “Casa del Maestro” (House of the Teacher) building project continued throughout the fall months thanks to the hard work of teams from Elberton First UMC in Elberton, GA; Noblesville First UMC in Noblesville, IN; Calvary UMC in Brownsburg, IN; The Promise UMC in Fishers, IN; Roberts Park UMC in Indianapolis, IN; Zionsville UMC in Zionsville, IN; and Bluegrass UMC in Evansville, IN!

Mission Guatemala is constructing this building to serve as an office space for the supervisor of schools for the municipality, and will also include a meeting space for workshops, continuing education seminars and much more! Over the past years, the supervisor of schools has had to work in temporary office spaces provided by the local municipal government, which have often been cramped and lacking in privacy for meeting with individual teachers or for maintaining the documents from the 34 schools in the area.

This project, which is Mission Guatemala’s largest to date, would not be possible if not for the generosity and hard work of so many willing hands from so many different churches! We are grateful to all those whose hard work has helped the project advance to this point, and we’re excited to see the project move toward completion as teams work to finish the project this year!

¡Gracias a todos!
