It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Mission Guatemala!
While some of the ways we are celebrating Christmas this year look a little different from years past, we are still thrilled to share this special time with our Guatemalan neighbors!
This past Wednesday, our staff came together to pack 217 Christmas boxes for the community of Pacamaché, in the Boca Costa region of Sololá! Each box was filled with basic household staples such as coffee, sugar, and soap—as well as Christmas treats like chocolate and cookies!
While in past years we had packaged these items in plastic baskets, this year, because of the large number of families receiving the supplies, along with the distance and the rough roads to Pacamaché, we delivered the supplies in boxes instead. Stay tuned for photos from the delivery of these Christmas boxes, coming soon!
A decade of Mission Guatemala means a decade of celebrating Christmas alongside our brothers and sisters in the communities we serve! Because of YOU, we are able to serve and celebrate with communities across Sololá, and we couldn’t be more grateful!
Gracias, y ¡Feliz Navidad!
