Sharing Una Navidad Feliz in San Andrés!

A child receives their Christmas gift from Mission Guatemala.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Guatemala, as this year we've continued a Mission Guatemala tradition of celebrating "la Navidad" with families here in the San Andrés Semetabaj area! This year, we shared Christmas gifts with the 165 children in our “Niños Chispudos” early childhood nutrition program!

Each of the presents was individually wrapped by our staff members and specifically selected based on the age of the children in the program, and all of the wonderful gifts were made possible by the generosity of amazing Mission Guatemala supporters!

These gifts, which were brought to Guatemala during the year by volunteer teams or purchased from our Amazon wish list, included a wonderful mix of Crocs-style shoes, baby blankets, socks, t-shirts, caps, hats and much more! This year, we were even able to provide a special food grinder for the youngest children in the nutrition program, in order to help families prepare fruits, vegetables and other foods in a way that even their small children can eat!

We're grateful once again to have the opportunity to share this wonderful Christmas experience with our friends and neighbors here in Guatemala!

If you would like to make a year end contribution to Mission Guatemala to help us continue to do all the good we can together, we invite you to do so here.
