We are excited to share photos of this year's delivery of 190 "Canastas Navideñas" (Christmas Baskets) here in San Andrés Semetabaj!
This year, we distributed baskets to each of the families of the students in our "Becas Con Misión" scholarship program, as well as to each family in our “Niños Chispudos” (Kids with a Spark) early childhood nutrition program. The baskets contained many of the same basic food items such as pasta, oil, eggs and traditional “atoles” that we have included in the Christmas baskets we distributed in years past, but this year we also included fresh fruits and vegetables purchased from the local market!
As Christmas nears, we are reminded of how grateful we are for the support of people like you who make the work of Mission Guatemala possible! Each of the families who received a Christmas basket this year voiced their gratitude for this generous gift! Thank you!
